I was asking people at the party what they wish for in the new year. Some said they could not say out loud, some said they wished for health, money, love, relationship, the best for their family, their business to go up, and happiness.

My friend Sheraton said that he wanted to wish me luck but that luck did not really exist. That you make your luck by putting yourself into position for things to happen. By hard work, perservierance, and inner courage to get out of bed. He said all the luck in the world would do you no good if you just stayed in your bed all day every day. He said he really wanted to wish me luck but that you make your luck by getting up and going out and meeting people that may be able to help you with your dream, or even better-you may be able to help with their dream.

I'm not sure if luck does not exist, sometimes you turn a corner and bump into someone that you have not seen in a lot of time- totally out of context! Is it you putting yourself in position? Or is it luck? For the rest, you are right, it's backgammon. It's chess. But still you can calculate all you want, and still the deals can slip through. So i'm not sure. I'm not taking a chance either way, i'm gonna get up every day, put myself in position, and wait for the opportune moment as jack sparrow always said!
