Belles of the Ball by Michael

Last Sunday the annual Academy Awards ceremony took place in L.A. A lot of beautiful women in gorgeous dresses, but only a few of them can be the real Belles of the Ball.
THE Belle of the Ball was Jennifer Lopez in her gorgeous Marchesa dress. She looked very chiq and classic. This is the new old Hollywood glamour. I love it.
And then there was Penelope in a stunning creation from Atelier Versace. I love the detailed body and the long train.
Cate Blanchett, who was nominated for best supporting actress but didn't win, looked amazing in her Armani Privé gown. I love the way the dress "hugs" her body and I love how it sprakles.
Last but not least there is the wonderful actress Emily Blunt. I loved her in "the Devil". Her Calvin Klein dress is very simple but her natural beauty and style make her look gorgeous and so sexy.

Marithe+Francois Girbaud by Suvi-Elina

"It is not a "défilé", but a moment in fashion or rather a general rehearsal before being projected on to the street for a refresher: men and women together"
-Marithe and Francois Girbaud
-Girbaud show was urban layered, mixed with masculine-feminine sporty silhoutte. A ballet dancer on the stage brought a poetric, soft touch in the air. The collection consisted of trapeze coats, strappy high waisted trousers, jackets with rounded volumes, jeans with long purple ribbons. Girbaud couple undoubtedly does their best at the jeans label. The classical wide leg loose jeans and pants remain my favourite pieces of the collections throughout the seasons.
