...me and my friend Anne-Marie, the vintage queen and multitalented fashion stylist, designer and journalist... she has been there, done that! Here I am with her during the Paris fashion week, on our way to see Emanuel Ungaro show.
My friend Anne-Marie introduced me to her friend, American jewellery designer John Agee, who has his own little boutique in rue Jacob, in the 6th area in Paris. The jewelleries are unique, like showstoppers. He makes only few pieces per design, sometimes only one, so they are very much one of a kind. John says he gets inspired by Africa, and anything he see and experiences in his new home city, Paris. John will celebrate the opening of his boutique this month in Paris. I am looking forwad to this party!
I took this picture on friday night, when me, Anne-Marie and Danny dropped by to see John, with a bottle of champagne with us to suprise him. A spontaneus beginning for the weekend!

If you are in Paris this spring there are at least two exhibitions you should visit. The first one is David Lynch- The air is on fire and second one Jean-Paul Gaultier-La Defile, opened last week in Musee de la Mode et du Textile.
The Foundation Cartier pour l'art contemporain presents The air is on fire, an exhibition devoted to the multifaced visual art creations of David Lynch. This event marks the first time that the filmmaker has made a large number of paintings, photographs, drawings, alternative films and sound productions reconstruct his childhood experience , his adolsecent, fantasies and his adult preoccupations. Lynch's sense of humor is also present in the difficult issues his paintings tackle. The exhibition is about David Lynch's "behind the scenes" artistic expression and it's first time available for public.

Jean-Paul Gaultier designed the costumes of some 18 ballets choreographed by Régine Chopinot from 1983 to 1994. To celebrate the couturier’s thirty years of creation in 2007 and the costumes’ transfer from the Centre Choréographique de La Rochelle to the Musée de la Mode et du Textile, this exhibition will retrace the history of this assiduous collaboration between couturier and choreographer for the first time. Examples of Jean-Paul Gaultier’s haute couture will also be shown.

Habitat's latest VIP (very important product) is a 'fashion monster', soft funny looking toy for kids designed by Christian Lacroix. The monster comes in different colors and shapes. Me and Anne-Marie chose purple ones and they are our new sleeping buddies ;) more info on www.habitat.fr
Finnish girls are good at handwork and knitting. my friends Saara and Anni have their own small business for handworks, which they make and sell by themselves. Here one sample of soft wollen cat glove. Very original and traditional at the same time.
I am a huge fan of antique and vintage clothes. In the whole world from my experience, Helsinki is one of the vintage heavens. The thing is that it's relatively cheap and you can find some outstanding stuff. i will post some more info about Helsinki later. P.S. This antique shop is located in Frederikinkatu, opposite Punavuoren tori-square.
I am so glad that my friend (and vintage soulmate) Vesa has just return from London back to Helsinki. He has a blog on 360 fashion but hasnt been able to post for a while, but soon he should be back to busines! We are looking forward...
