THE BRUTAL TRUTH OF POLAROIDS
when i was in amsterdam, i went to see de boekers, my agency. the first thing that agencies do when you have new hair or a new look or come into town after a while, they take polaroids. in the page, polaroids used to be polaroid cameras. they were really forgiving and you could take really good polaroids and get booked for direct jobs where they fly you in. now a days, they use digital, so now suddenly you are there, no makeup, no brush, and the agency want to take your polaroids to show what you REALLY look like. well, there you go...not my best photo at all and no retouching allowed!
these were the polaroids taken in finland by my agency model boom. i like them so much better, but my agency in holland said my hair looked dry--so they took the polaroids above...sheesh. i thought i looked really good in these polaroids...so rock and roll:
i am wearing noni's tshirt that he made after diane pernet "ruined" or "crashed" fashion week in iceland (this is the title in icelandic what the tshir says, which was a scan from the most circulated magazine. she made it on the cover with the 7610 lifeblogging!)
