After my shoot the photographer. mr dong, was so happy with the photos. He was already editing the photos in the car! They say that they will put billboards all over china. Not that they pay for that. It's one of the annoying things about china fashion industry. No image usage rights.
Momaboma is one of the most interesting discoveries at Pitti Imagine Uomo 2008. They started out making accessories out of cement bags and recycled paper. Now they have evolved to include old materials (have an old leather coat that you love but don't wear?), old magazines, and old advertising campaigns. Any thing you'd like to keep forever with you but restyle is withing their reach. Math papers, love letters, photos, and more can be transformed into a modern day accessory to carry with you always.
On Monday they are launching a new interactive website where customers can customize their own bag. One can send any paper or upload a graphic to became items that you carry with you daily.
This company is definitely one to watch and is expanding rapidly.

Since I was in Florence for the Pitti, I stopped by to see top photographer and friend, Toni Thorimbert. He had so many new things to tell, new book, blog, new studio, and growing family. One of the many great photo shoots that we have done together was "What is real luxury" for IO DONNA magazine. It was great to see how much his career keeps expanding and how he maintains a life working in Milan and living in the middle of nowhere near Florence. He stays connected only by his telephone, an n73 because there's no internet cable near by. In his book which can be found at top book stores in Italy, we actually come to see how Toni is a part of the history of Italian fashion. He shot the first cover of AMICA Magazine, a unconventional profile laugh. Without even knowing it, he wrote the A in his book, and laughed later when I told him about the A strikes again series on my blog. We talked about the business and his vision for his website and for his studio. It was so great to see him. I can not wait to see and shoot with him again. I told him about China, our big launch, and 360Fashion.
The entrance is already impressive
I'm now in italy at the piti expo and it's an amazing experience. So many awesome stands, great new brands, and many cool happenings. Like a high class circus of commerce, and full of suprises, the tech world could really take some hints about how things should be done in order to attract press and give a great experience to the attendee's. Even the Simpson's are here launching a new brand!
The event was a total success. Many people loved the Playground space. Top journalists and fashion publications came to see Piero's work and meet the Ambassador of Italy. Many people networked and created positive business opportunities. We could not have asked for more. Thank you to Piero Biasion for coming to China and allowing us the opportunity to present his work.
Last night we had the great pleasure to greet his Excellency Roberto Sessa to the 360Fashion Networking event in Beijing, China.
