Zara Store Opens in Hangzhou, China

We had only one casting today and the rest of the day free, so we decided to check out the new Zara store that opened. The girls were suprised by the steep prices, considering that it's all made in china. They said that it was much cheaper in Hong Kong. they also said they were disappointed by the style. They said something had changed in the Zara style. Everyone agreed that there was not anything that really made them go crazy and want to buy. I had the opposite. For me it was inexpensive and great style. I'm sure either i don't have style or i'm from a wealthier country. I fell in love with so many things, but i can buy Zara every day. I'd rather shop chinese brands.

Who says models are stupid? Most models have been to school, or home study! anina.net downloaded a program to the apartment computer to teach the girls chinese.We had some hilarious results!

I just could not bring myself to try it. Priscilla tried it thinking it would be sweet but it was totally salty. It's so interesting to know what local food customs are, even if they do not appeal to me personally.

Shooting in Venice

The location where we shot my first job was a shock. They had rebuilt Venice in such exact style. . . I was speechless. I think that it's copyright infringement to the max! Ha!

Or maybe it's because not all Chinese will be able to travel to Venice or afford it, so the made it locally so that they can vacation there in Chinese prices and style. :-)

wake up!

So our roommate did not tell us that we had a casting this morning at 8 because she does not speak english so well. That means we are very late to the casting, and that means we are in trouble with the agency. Even though it's not our fault, we pay- either we miss the casting and don't get the job or it's still our fault by default. Can't win. I could vomit cuz i been awake all night listening to a great blogradio interview about search engine optimization. It wasn't anything new for me but it was great how julie organises the conference to help the bloggers.

We are my in a new location called the Hangzhou Happy Park. It's a huge resort kind of place where lot's of people like to shoot. It's amazing how you can spend the whole day without talking to anyone of the team. Cuz you can't. They don't speak english. You work over and over with the same people and never know their names. Kind of wierd. Thank god Priscila's here!
