I have long heard tell of the photography and young designer film festival in Hyeres france. I even was booked for the shows before, but none of us really understood what it was about, because we were left to stay in our hotels waiting to be called to do the shows.
So i am very excited to have been invited down by blast mag to check it out from the other side of the cat walk. I visited the website and see that there is a conference today about intellectual property. I hope to still be able to attend that conference even though i arrive late. It starts at 11.30. I arrive at 12.30. Plus it is the first of may and the tourist info tell me there is no public transportation. It will be interesting to see what happens. Stay tuned today. I will duel blog with diane!

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

=The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy | The Register.

me at werk writes "The Register has posted it's review of h2g2. 'The radio series, that became a book, that became a TV series, has finally made it to the silver screen. The film version of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is faithful to author Douglas Adams' legacy. The trouble is it's simply not especially funny.'"

Near Perfect "Einstein Ring" Discovered

Universe Today - Near Perfect "Einstein Ring" Discovered.

Fraser Cain writes "Universe Today is reporting on the discovery of a nearly perfect Einstein Ring; a gravitational lens of a nearby galaxy working as a natural telescope to focus the light from a more distant galaxy. Gravitational lenses have been seen many times before, but never so complete, with a close lensing galaxy and a distant magnified galaxy."

Will McNealy Take Sun Private?

Will McNealy Take Sun Private?.

krygny writes "There is speculation that with $7.5 billion in cash, and liquidation of other assets, Sun could leverage a buyback of all publicly traded shares of SUNW at between $5 and $5.50 per share. I suppose, that would relieve them of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, which Scott McNealy never really liked. (who does?) For anyone at Sun who survives the tumult, hopefully, there could also be a return to the former corporate culture."

Making art

I finally finished listening to all my friends, and had time to make some of my art pieces. I believe art is for sharing, so i like to share my art. My friend said when i asked her if she wanted to make some art with me was a super yes. She said she had not done any art in so long. So we passed pieces back and forth, talked about modeling and business, and made some more pieces for my next exhibition! Now i want to go to bed. Today i leave for the south of france.

Model blogging

Okay, a chef has gone into Lifeblogging, and now a professional model has done it, too (though she was already a blogger). This is getting seriously interesting: not only because easy blogging tools allow people to write without much prior technical knowledge, but also because it allows professionals from different areas to use it as means of self-expression. They don't have the time to start learning complex publishing systems, yet they might have the need, will, and aptitude to publish about their chosen field.

Sunny went last to a robot shop near filles du Calvert metro station. Great shop! They had these little drop creatures in water that moved to music.
